Clunie
Range Angus is owned and run by the Guest family north-west of Inverell in northern New South Wales.
We have been breeding Angus cattle for over 40 years and started Clunie
Range Angus Stud in 1988. Currently we run over 700 breeders. The stud
cattle are all run on 'Killara' at Coolatai, and the commercial herd
is run on 'Springfield' at Wallangra.
Our breeding philosophy is pretty simple,
we run our breeders under tough conditions to ensure we have a sound,
functional, fertile herd. With the use of large-scale AI and ET programs
our clients have access to the best genetics, increasing performance
in the paddock and feedlot and producing superior meat quality for consumers.
As a commercially focused herd progeny
and seedstock are produced for the Japanese and Korean markets. To target
these markets we produce bulls that have high carcase quality, growth,
and muscling. As a self-replacing herd we also have a high emphasis
on fertility and calving ease. The desire to produce better quality
meat has lead us to become involved with the Golden
Angus branded beef program, follow the links to find out more on
this.
Our bulls are renowned for their even type, capacity, softness, muscling
and balanced EBV's. We have sold bulls to all states of Australia except
the Northern Territory, with bulls sold to prominant studs throughtout
Australia.
